Today, at 7:00 AM, the cold is biting on Universidad Avenue, preventing access to the Vito Alessio Robles median. Meanwhile, a race is taking place on that avenue, and amidst it all, the thought resonates: "The river will take care of it, it has been doing so for six years, leave it in its hands".
During the event, mention was made of the commitment to the Magdalena River in Barranquilla, Colombia, the Ecological Reserve of Itapuã State Park, Brazil, and Zapopan, Jalisco, where an environmental day was also held with the slogan of leaving a better space than the one found. This moment evoked the beginning seven years ago, when the river showed its contaminated waters, a result of the disconnection from the planet.
The cleanup day involved the participation of several people, thanking all those present and those who, from a distance, accompanied with their hearts. Thanks were extended to the authorities for the permission granted, to the participants in the cleanup, and to all those involved in organizing workshops and activities.
Over ten hours, the cleanup and reconnection with the planet took place, demonstrating the importance of taking action to care for our environment. This event aimed not only to improve the space but also to send a message about the responsibility we all have towards our environment.
At the end of the day, there was reflection on the importance of continuing to reconnect with nature and raising awareness of our actions to live in harmony with the planet. Additionally, it was reminded that C7 Mental Health is available to offer support and care to those in need.
