The Estadio Metropolitano Roberto Meléndez will be the venue that will host the historic encounter, backed by its growing infrastructure and its football relevance. The venue is in full remodeling stage since September with the objective of increasing its capacity from 43,000 to 60,000 spectators and to meet international standards.

From the Barranquilla leadership, they ensure that the plan not only seeks to host the Sudamericana, but also to position the city as a future host for Copa Libertadores finals and other global sporting events.
