On Women's Day, Colombian singer Karol G openly admitted that for many years she wished she had been born a man. According to the artist, she believed that being male opened more doors and provided unlimited opportunities. She felt that all her ambitions were restricted by the fact that she was a woman, which made her doubt her success.
"For many years I thought, 'How cool it would have been to be born a man.' I saw it as something that opened all the doors to new opportunities, because to a certain extent everything I wanted to do seemed conditioned by the fact that I was a woman. And therefore, I wasn't going to achieve it," the singer shared.
However, her perspective completely changed as she grew older. Karol G realized the incredible strength of femininity and is now proud of who she is. She emphasized that women have a unique ability to sustain life, rebuild themselves, and keep moving forward despite any hardships.
"We can be completely broken inside and still continue to build everything around us. Now I see clearly how super powerful we are. We are beauty, strength, intuition, sensitivity, sensuality, and power. FIRE, just fire!" the star exclaimed.
Concluding her message, the artist confessed that she feels infinitely grateful to be a woman. If she had the chance to be born again, she would undoubtedly choose to be a woman once more.
"We feel strongly, we feel greatly, we feel deeply. We feel with pity, with empathy. We feel love even in the darkest moments. And on top of that, with an open heart to feel EVERYTHING!" Karol G summarized.
