Shakira's Concert in Medellín Postponed

Shakira's only concert in Medellín for her world tour 'Women No Longer Cry' has been postponed due to safety issues with the stage setup. Organizers will reschedule once conditions are safe.

Shakira's concert in the Colombian city of Medellín, part of her world tour 'Women Don’t Cry Anymore,' has been postponed due to issues with the stage setup at the Atanasio Girardot stadium. The production company responsible for the show, Páramo, announced that during the setup process, the stage roof suffered damage that compromised the safety of the artist, her team, and the audience.

"The scheduled date for the LMYNLL World Tour cannot take place on February 24," stated the company, assuring that they are working to reschedule the concert in the future with all necessary safety conditions. Additionally, the possibility of extending the Colombian leg of the tour to other cities in the country was mentioned.

The concert in Medellín was initially scheduled for Sunday the 23rd but was moved to Monday the 24th due to logistical issues. This setback in Shakira's tour adds to the postponement of her performance in Peru, which was delayed until November due to the artist's health reasons.

Shakira started the American part of her tour in Rio de Janeiro on February 11, later visiting Sao Paulo and Lima with full house performances at the venues. After her spectacular presentation at the Estadio Metropolitano in Barranquilla on Thursday, featuring a vibrant show that included emblematic songs from the Barranquilla carnival, the artist has two more concerts scheduled in Bogotá at the end of this month, both of which are sold out.

In collaboration with Shakira's team, the production company Páramo is working on organizing new concerts in Colombia for the second half of this year, news that will be received with enthusiasm in several cities across the country.
