On Tuesday, the Colombian government announced the arrival of two American cargo planes to the city of Bogotá. The planes delivered humanitarian aid.
One of the aircraft transported 924 tons of humanitarian aid, including medical equipment, as well as clothing and food. The other plane delivered 1,080 gallons of COVID-19 vaccine.
"This delivery allows Colombia to once again return to normal life when the threat of the COVID-19 pandemic is diminished," the American embassy noted.
Humanitarian aid is aimed at helping particularly vulnerable groups in the Colombian population affected by the pandemic.
