The Colombian head of state also added that "bombing Caracas, the homeland of Bolívar, is not an act against Maduro but against the country." Petro expressed his position by questioning the use of force as a mechanism to resolve political disputes in the region and warning about the consequences of a military intervention in Venezuela. He noted that the US plans to try Maduro, and this mark will be historic, regardless of whether he dies in an American prison.
