Colombian musician Kapo gained global fame in 2024 with his songs 'Ohnana' and 'Uwaie', achieving 22.1 million monthly listeners on Spotify. Kapo, 27 years old, stands out for combining 'afrobeat' with Latin reggaeton rhythms and for the originality of his song names, which are in a language invented by him and his team, called 'Ohwauka'.

In an interview with EFE in Bogotá, Kapo expressed that his success is the result of an exploration over time to understand what he really wanted to convey through his music. His tracks 'Ohnana' and 'Uwaie' have been widely popular, with hundreds of millions of streams on digital platforms.

The singer emphasizes the importance of authenticity in music, stating that in a world as broad and diverse as music, it is essential to stand out by being genuine and offering something unique to the public. Although 'afrobeat' is a genre with a long history, Kapo has managed to give it his own personal touch, earning recognition from audiences in Colombia, Chile, Spain, and other international markets.

Kapo plans to release an album soon and has a tour scheduled in the United States and Colombia, including a performance at the Estéreo Picnic Festival in Bogotá on March 29. The artist values the support and connection he has managed to establish with his fans, who have embraced his musical style and artistic proposal.

In Kapo's own words: "Little by little we are becoming a bridge to bring music, a message, and a good show to people, leaving them something in their hearts, a joy." His success is not only measured in numbers but also in the emotional impact and positive response he has received from his fans.
