The case of alleged harassment at the Colombian Caracol Televisión channel has once again become the focus of public attention. At the center of the scandal is a video that has gone viral on social media. The footage captures a man, presumably a channel employee, approaching a female journalist during a live broadcast, invading her personal space and apparently making her uncomfortable. Sports journalist Marina Granzier is reportedly one of the victims. This incident has once again raised questions about the working environment at the major television network. In Colombia, several female journalists who previously worked for Caracol have begun to share similar experiences to bring attention to the issue. It all started when several employees (whose identities have not been revealed) accused the channel's management of sexual harassment in the workplace. After these allegations surfaced on social media, Caracol Televisión announced on March 20 that it had activated internal protocols to investigate complaints of alleged sexual harassment involving two journalists and presenters. Since then, other former employees have come forward with new accusations. One of the first to speak out publicly was Catalina Botero, another former Caracol employee: "I'm glad someone had the courage to report it and that they are finally putting it under the microscope, because if one were to speak up... many of us were not heard, many did not report for fear of burning bridges in the media or causing a scandal."
