In the past Sunday, the Minister of Defense of Colombia presented President Donald Trump's administration with a proposal to reduce military cooperation with their country due to the inability to stop the drug traffickers.
The minister expressed deep discontent with the actions of the American government within the framework of anti-drug programs. He noted that although Colombia fulfills its obligations in the fight against drug traffickers, the USA does not seem to pay due attention to this problem.
"We have already warned the USA about the possibility of reducing our participation in joint military operations if our partners do not begin to fulfill their obligations," he emphasized.
He also added that Colombia does not feel the necessary support from the American government in the fight against drug traffickers, despite all the efforts made by the country.
