A pilot who worked with musician Yeison Jiménez stated that when he was in command of the aircraft, it operated perfectly and at no point were there any incidents or accidents. César Augusti Puerto Narváez was one of the pilots who flew the aircraft with registration number N325FA. He revealed that he was at the controls of the aircraft 'from September 10, 2022, until September 24, 2023, when he handed over the keys to Yeison Jiménez'. The pilot emphasized that during the time he was in charge of the aircraft, he followed all the corresponding procedures and that after his departure, he had no further involvement in the operation or the technical decisions of the plane. When asked about the accident in which Yeison Jiménez died, Puerto was emphatic in distancing himself. Regarding this episode, Captain Puerto denied any link or prior knowledge. He assured that his departure from flying with the artist was due to contractual disagreements that had nothing to do with his performance as a pilot or with the aircraft. 'I was flying for him and I resigned solely for labor reasons because I disagreed with some points of the contract,' he explained. Authorities continue to gather technical information and testimony to clarify the causes of the accident, and the pilot's testimony provides a key element. 'I will not issue any specific comments on that case because it is a matter that is under investigation and has just begun. If the authorities require me, I will provide the data from when the plane was in my hands, which was for about a year,' he stated.
