In the framework of the 122nd meeting of the Executive Council of the World Tourism Organization, held in Colombia, the Ministry of Economics participated. Key issues related to the tourism industry were discussed, including the impact of the pandemic on global tourism and prospects for recovery.

Particular attention was paid to the issues of tourist safety, stimulation of domestic tourism, development of sustainable forms of tourism, and the implementation of digital technologies. The importance of cooperation in the recovery of the tourism sector after the crisis was emphasized by the participants of the event.

The objective was to highlight the importance of collaboration and experience exchange between countries, representatives of the Republic of Belarus confirmed readiness for productive interaction on the international arena for further tourism development.
