According to witnesses, the aircraft exhibited several irregularities: it took longer than usual to start, was delayed in takeoff, and after becoming airborne, failed to retract its landing gear, which caught the attention of airport staff. 'The pilot seemed worried,' said a person who had accompanied Yeison minutes before the flight. Workers at the site reported that the plane crashed near where they were working and then caught fire, causing chaos and alarm in the area. The accident occurred in the Romita area of Paipa (Boyacá), when the plane attempted to return to the airport and make an emergency landing on a farm, without success.
