This week, the II Summit of the Peoples of the Western Caribbean was held on San Andrés Island, Colombia, a platform to deepen regional cooperation, promote sustainable development initiatives, and reaffirm the historical role of the peoples of the Western Caribbean. Following the intense and fruitful working sessions held by the attending delegations, it was agreed that Bocas del Toro, Panama, will host the III Summit to be held in 2026.
