Jorman Campuzano, Colombian midfielder and former Boca Juniors player, recently revealed details about one of the most difficult moments he faced during his time at the Argentine club. The footballer confessed that he considered leaving football after the tragic loss of a son.
"I played 126 matches at Boca, so I don't know why people say it's difficult. I have a contract until mid-year, I don’t know what will happen, but I have already lived through the most difficult part, which is losing a child," expressed Campuzano. The player is currently loaned to Atlético Nacional in Colombia, a club that Boca bought him from in 2019.
Campuzano emphasized that family problems can affect players and risk their sports career. Despite the ups and downs he experienced at Boca, the Colombian clarified: "Let’s not blame Boca, let’s not blame Argentine football, don’t blame me. I have my two children, which is the hardest job for me, to be the best father."
The 28-year-old midfielder mentioned that the difficult moment he referred to occurred in late 2021, shortly before a loan to Giresunspor in Turkey. Despite enjoying his present at Atlético Nacional, Campuzano will have to return to Boca in three months, although it seems unlikely that he will wear the Buenos Aires team’s jersey again.
